Questions for Larry Swedroe, please

For football fans — sorry, US readers, I mean soccer fans — the summer can drag. It’s that time of year when we feel obliged to rediscover our interest in cricket and, for two weeks only during Wimbledon, tennis.

But there is one consolation to the lack of matches and that’s the transfer gossip. In our minds we build a dream team for our favourite club as every day brings fresh rumours of star players about to sign.

A few weeks ago, TEBI proudly unveiled a big-name signing of our own. Financial adviser, author and index fund champion Rick Ferri is now a regular contributor.

Today I’m just as excited to unveil another major new addition to our team of writers — Larry Swedroe.

For many of our readers, Larry will need no introduction, but in case you’re not aware of him, Larry is Chief Research Officer of the Buckingham Family of Financial Services and The BAM Alliance of evidence-based advice firms across the United States.

Larry was among the first authors to publish a book that explained the science of investing in layman’s terms, The Only Guide to a Winning Investment Strategy You’ll Ever Need. He has since written many more. His latest is Your Complete Guide to a Successful and Secure Retirement, which has been co-authored with Kevin Grogan and other colleagues at Buckingham.

As well as providing regular articles for us, Larry is also going be contributing to a new podcast, Ask Larry, in which he’ll be answering questions that TEBI readers are asking. The first episode is scheduled for early next month. So, please send us your questions on anything to do with evidence-based investing.

In the meantime, welcome to the team, Larry. We’re greatly honoured to have you on board.
