Something we can all do in memory of Jack Bogle

There have been several suggestions made for a fitting tribute to the late Jack Bogle.

Of course, Warren Buffett once suggested that “if a statue is ever erected to honuor the person who has done the most for American investors, the hands-down choice should be Jack Bogle.” My fellow blogger Meb Faber said the other day that “what he’d probably really love is if everyone opened their brokerage statement, identified all the crappy high fee funds, sold them, and bought something cheaper… then forget about it for a decade.”

Personally, I really like the idea of the Fiduciary Rule, if it’s ever enacted in the US, being called the Bogle Rule.

In the meantime, there’s something we can all do now to honour Jack’s memory.

The more I think about Jack’s passing, the more I realise what a huge gap he’s left — so big that no one person could ever hope to fill it. Although Jack himself is no longer with us, he has left a huge fan base. If all of us who admired and learned from him could each pass on to others even a little piece of what he taught us, what a huge difference we could make!

For my part, I’m working a new series of short, simple videos. It’s called Jack Bogle’s All-Weather Investing Guide, and it aims to encapsulate the key insights from his books and articles over the years.

Here’s Part 1, which serves as an introduction. If you could play your part by helping me to share it, I would be very grateful.
