Transparency Task Force comes to Boston

Posted by Robin Powell on August 7, 2017

It’s been a huge privilege to serve, for the past year or so, as an ambassador for the Transparency Task Force.

We’re a group of volunteers working to drive up levels of transparency, truthfulness and trustworthiness in financial services. So far our focus has been on the UK, but lack of transparency is a global issue, and we’re keen to promote positive change much further afield.

I’m therefore pleased to announce that, on September 28th, we will be holding our first overseas Transparency Symposium — in Boston, Massachusetts. The event’s being hosted by Mercer, and chaired by our co-founder Andy Agathangelou, and the impressive list of speakers includes:

– Richard Field, Director, Institute for Financial Transparency

– Stephen Davis, expert on corporate governance at Harvard Law School

Jon Lukomnik, Executive Director, Investor Responsibility Research Institute

– Preston McSwain, Managing Partner, Fiduciary Wealth Partners

– Andrew D. Esctruth, Associate Director, Centre for Retirement Research at Boston College

– Knut A. Rostad, Co-Funder and Institute for the Fiduciary Standard

– George Kinder founder of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning

The event is open to anyone who shares our determination to bring about a better, fairer and more customer-focused financial sector — whether that’s politicians, academics, journalists, advisers, consultants, compliance professionals or asset managers.
