Here is the first of four videos that my colleagues and I at Regis Media produced for Independence Advisors in Pennsylvania — each of them exploring a different aspect of the evidence-based approach to investing. The first addresses the issue of market pricing.
I’d like to give a special mention to Chas Boinske, the founder of Independence Advisors, who as well as being a valued client has been very supportive of the work we do to help advisory firms in educating investors.
Chas is a passionate believer in fee-only advice, the fiduciary principle and the science of the capital markets. He has also given his time free of charge to assist in the development of evidence-based investing in Germany, and kindly allowed us to produce a German-language version of this series for the Sutor Bank in Hamburg.
As well as Chas, I would also like to thank Dimensional Fund Advisors, on whose research this series is founded, and also Wendy Cook, who assisted with the scripting. Wendy too has been a loyal and valuable ally of ours in the United States and has a brilliant way of making this often dull and complex subject interesting and accessible.
